weaving back the world

Through the Ecoversities Alliance Writing Fellowship in 2025 writers from across the world came together to share stories about projects within the alliance who are shifting the paradigm of education and the way we relate to the Earth.

From the Huni Kuin tribe in the Amazon rainforest starting a university with their forest with a tree as the president of the university, to a lab in Utrecht interweaving indigenous and minority voices into AI, to a permaculture project beginning in a Ugandan refugee camp, the stories in this book inspires us to rethink education and reimagine a new world.

The printed edition includes a special Practices section

For educators and facilitators, to bookstores and community holders, these practices can be used to hold space for people to deepen their exploration of the topics of this book and themselves. We hope that these can serve as a way for people to pollinate the ideas within the Ecoversities Alliance in their own way.
